Bringing Safety Home to Kansas City Families.

The Kansas City Metropolitan Crime Commission, a nationally recognized nonprofit, connects communities and public safety agencies to create a safer Kansas City. However, a dated identity and low awareness limited its impact, prompting the need for a refreshed brand and stronger community engagement.

THE BRIEF

A New Website to Drive Local Awareness.

The Crime Commission initially requested a new website, but it became clear they needed more to address their awareness challenges. Discussions revealed a need for a community impact graphic, cohesive program logos, and a strategic communications plan.

WHAT WE DID

The Process

Brand Strategy

To shape KCMCC's strategy, we developed the key message “Bring Safety Home,” resonating with families and emphasizing their role in connecting the community with public safety agencies.

Design Refresh

To build trust and relevancy, KCMCC's brand identity was modernized with a friendly, informative tone, impactful black-and-white photography, and a dignified color palette.

Communications Plan

We equipped the nonprofit with a communications plan and brand guide, complete with examples for social posts, newsletters, and logo usage to ensure future success.
